The Heart of Fashion, the leading position which Tom Hingston Studio has expresssed through a campaign paying homage to the heart as a creative strength in life. A campaign creating a fashion electroshock.
In the image of the trade fair, this concept unites international talents: established in 1997, Tom Hingston Studio is an independent multi-disciplinary design agency. Based in London and renowned for its innovative, highly thoughtful approach to art direction and design, the studio has won numerous awards for its work.
Clients and collaborators include: Alexander Mc Queen, Absolut BBC, Christian Dior, Nike, Massive Attack, Mandarina Duck, Lancôme, Nick Cave, Robbie Williams, Nokia, Gnarls Barkley et les Rolling Stones.
The campaign was photographed by Luis Sanchis, who specialises in using artificial and ambience lighting to create a unique atmosphere producing very glamourous « twilight » effects.
His sensual, kinematic photography regularly appears in a wide selection of international magazines such as British Vogue, Italian Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Visionaire 10, Intersection, Mixte, L’Officiel, Arena Homme Plus, The Face, Pop, Arena, and Big Magazine A, et des campagnes internationales telles que Gucci, Alexander Mc Queen, Pacciotti, Emilio Pucci,..

LINK.FR, Fast Fashion
With the evolution of buying rhythms, the call for mini collections has increased. PRÊT À PORTER PARIS® -discoverer of trends - has launched in tandem with Bolognafiere, LINK, the new, creative, mixed international universe for medium and up-market clothes and accessories. LINK is aimed at sales outlets who wish to enrich, diversify and update their product offer more rapidly, responding to an ever more fashion-hungry clientele.
A nomadic trade fair whose first session will take place in Bologne, Italy from the 19th to 22nd June 2008.

The extremely cutting-edge trade fair, ON/OFF will be presenting the new generation of English designers at PRET A PORTER PARIS® for the second time.
ON/OFF is the hip event which put the LONDON FASHION WEEK back on the agendas of international press and buyers, reducing the gulf existing between the designers ON the calendar and those OFF it. Created in 2003, ON/OFF is considered as the driving force of British fashion.

> SO ETHIC, Cool & Committed
PRÊT À PORTER PARIS® is the only professional trade fair offering a major place to ethical fashion with SO ETHIC, emerging as the meeting place of cool, organic fashion, uniting three requirements: fair trade, recycling and the organic. From the 20 labels presented in February 2006, it has grown to 80 for the September 2008 session, including a wave of Scandinavian and Korean designers, and everyone of them subscribing to the principles laid down by the ethical fashion chart. Ethical fashion is not only becoming more democratic but also increasingly « fashion ».
The Environmental Justice Foundation (EJF) is a leading an international campaign called "Pick Your Cotton Carefully" to address the human rights and environmental abuses in cotton production. To support the campaign leading lights of brit fashion Giles Deacon, Allegra Hicks, John Rocha and Zandra Rhodes are designing exclusive prints for a collection of ethic t-shirts produced on organic and fairly traded cotton and printed with organic certified inks. All proceeds from the t-shirts will go to support EJF, who are working to stop child labour in cotton production. So far over 20 supermodels including Lily Cole and Coco Rocha have joined the campaign by being photographed in the exclusive t-shirts.
Committed with the DESIGNERS AGAINST AIDS (DAA) The benefit association Beauty Without Irony was founded in 2004 to convey the HIV/AIDS virus prevention message through the international general public media. Creation of a campaign / collection "Fashion Against AIDS" in organic cotton for H&M in collaboration with major fashion and music talents such as Katharine Hamnett (who proposed the slogan USE A CONDOM), Rihanna, Timbaland, Chics on Speed, Henrik Vibskov, etc and « Sold Out ». A must to discover is the new collection in organic / fair trade cotton and a mindblowing photo exhibition.
The new labels:
WILDLIFEWORKS
A colourful, quality, up to the minute collection using organic poplin, hemp and silk. A label with a new « conservation by the consumer » approach: capture the power of global consumption and create innovative solutions which mirror the values of Sustainable Development, so as to conserve the diversity of the species and nature. Their first « fair trade-eco-factory » has already been created in Kenya.
Camilla Norrback
Camilla Norrback holds a major place amongst the Prêt-à-Porter's eco labels. Since its creation in 1999, the Swedish label has been committed to creating garments from the highest quality ecological materials available without ever having compromised its creation nor its freedom of expression. « Eco-Luxury », the values of Sustainable Development and ecology coupled with opulent materials form the backbone of this label already sold in 14 countries worldwide in outlets such as Beams in Japan, Kaight NYC and Plagg in Paris.
Rodnik
Garments which simply walk out at Barneys and Selfridges. Liv Tyler and Scarlett Johansson plus an impressive list of the English aristocracy, including the Duchess of York, are counted amongst the clients of this young English duo who doesn't do things like everyone else. An organic cotton collection for Topshop, a mini world tour and a four-title CD were on its agenda for 2008. Rodnik is not only a "top fasion" eco label, but also a rock group featuring Peaches Geldorf, the daughter of Bob Geldorf and Paula Yates. Their catwalk shows during the London Fashion Week are always much awaited. and they learnt it all along the way.
EXPLOSION DE MODES/ FASHION EXPLOSION
Once more orchestrated by Alexandra Senes, Explosion de Modes keeps to its initial principle, though it’s not exactly the same. Still at the intersection of different movements, ceaselessly interacting and mutually influencing each other, Explosion de Modes will be offering the place of honour to fashion, Green and music, whilst decoding the trends of the season to come. Same conductor, different organizers: a four-hand play with Nadège Winter and Ecographik™, the Be Pôles studio label (Colette’s green window) for the organic – ethic space; for music: Mouloud Achour, our bad boy, early morning presenter at Canal+ during the presidential elections and star presenter at MTV, will recreate his universe at PAPP with all his energy, ideas and mischief-making. Last but not least: FASHION, with a ludic, pedagogical space revolving around the 2009 trends… Trend object constantly reinvented for a hip, off-beat presentation of the autumn/winter 08 – 09 fashion currents. Explosion exploding into other universes through mini forums representative of the sector…a sort of ultra-precise buyer’s guide for visitors.
And of course a whole host of surprises to discover when the time is right…
THE EFFERVESCENCE OF BRITISH ECCENTRICITY
After the Vent du Nord which blew such designers as Bruuns Bazaar, By Malène Birger, Pauw, Natan Edition 5, our way before everyone else …, PAPP announces the eccentric air of the new generation of British designers. Masters of originality, counterculture and an innovative spirit, our insular neighbours will be landing in our fashion hub to open your eyes even wider, sharing their new talents with us.
ESTHETICA INTERNATIONAL @ So Ethic
For the first time PAPP, and in particular So Ethic, will be welcoming Estethica International, the hip « sustainable development » fashion and accessory event of the London Fashion Week. From January 2008, and for 2 years, we will be presenting several up-and-coming « favourite » labels in a 30sqm space …labels carefully selected as much for the design and quality of their collections, as for their values. Discoveries in the offing…
